Mountain bike accident (not for the squeamish)

I found this on one of the bicycle forums that I frequent. Has nothing to do with motorcycles but it was so crazy I had to share. Enjoy! NOT FOR THE SQUEAMISH.

Garage
That certainly beats any crash I've had. Best I've managed is using the large chain ring to gash my ankle.

Will try to get that picture out of my head before I start riding again in the spring!

I can't look. Someone tell me what happened.

When I die I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather did....not screaming in horror like the passengers in the backseat of his car.

(Dont let the cat out)

Im hesitant but I may call BS unless this is good source. The whole "accident" dosent seem right?

Hes not wearing gloves?
the blunt end pierced like that?
Why is there an xray? If i had that happen to me, its all flesh, that son of a bitch is coming right back out! Right away!

Im reluctantly calling BS with the understanding I may be wrong. If Im wrong, Thats F'd up man.

Those levers aren't that blunt. They're all machined out at the back to be super light. It probably slid right under the wristband of his glove (if he was wearing them).
