Moto Vlogging

Well, I decided that I was going to start sharing my daily commute and thoughts on motorcycling with the world. I should have new content out every Monday and Friday. I plan to have two types of videos the Daily Commute, which will deal strictly with motorcycles and as-yet-to-be-named other series that deals with mainly motorcycles but some other life happenings too. Come join me in my adventures in motorcycling and life!

I only had it a few months. But managed to put 5,000 miles on it during that time. Those miles flew by. The exhaust stink problem got the best of me and I got rid of it. I should have just done the 900rr conversion because I regret selling that 919. I still keep seeing 9:19 on the clock haha. The next bike I had was an F4i, which I didn't think was as fun. Had that for 9 months and only put a few thousand miles on it. The next bike I bought was a Street Triple which I actually enjoyed more than the 919 and kept for a couple years. Now I'm on a Honda Superhawk but regret selling the Street Triple...sounds like more upright nakeds are my thing haha. But quite honestly, I love the L-twin exhaust on my current superhawk. I'm hoping to finance something brand new next...there are some local leftover 2013 hypermotards for a nice price I just might jump on and finance. But I don't think I would be unsatisfied if I picked up a cheap 919 again instead.

Cool, great looking shots! I'll keep watching and hopefully start my own!

I want to rig up something similar, do the gopro 4s have it so the sena 5 can directly communicate via bt to and allow the audio to override the built-in Mic?

So I know that one model maybe both of the 4s have Bluetooth built in and in theory it should work the way you want. All you should have to do is sync the 4 to the Sena as an intercom. But even though Sena is IMHO the best right now they still don't have their shit together so it may not work.

What does work is Sena has the GP10 GoPro Bluetooth Pack. This fits in to the back on the GoPro at the same place one of its Backpack Accessories goes. And then it uses a dongle to connect it to the camera via mini-usb and then you sync that as an intercom to your headset. That is my current set up. I am using a 3+ Black edition

Thanks for the info. I'll have to look into that backpack kit and which gp it's compatible with. Also see how well the Sena 5 can pair directly to the 4s.

Yup saw that, how i figured you were using Sena bt and you mention the 4s being able to connect direct (4 black).

Now I see people are modding their Contour cams with external mics, won't be as good of a sq as a Sena but a cheap alternative considering I have one already. Probably could mod the older GoPro but wouldn't be as clean with its case.

Looks like I'm your fifteenth subscriber, LOL! Nice to see I'm not the only one on here that has the bug. Been recording my rides for quite a while now, but only recently decided to start making videos with the footage. I've been going through old footage and uploading it to YouTube, mainly to keep it in a more accessible location for myself and those people who ask about it. Finally starting to get through all the older stuff and into more recent footage. I don't advertise my channel at all... this will be the first time I have ever mentioned it's existence publicly. I guess if any of you are interested in seeing some of the the stupid/silly/funny things I have witnessed over the past few years, feel free to check out the "Riding Logs" on my channel. There's also footage of various longer rides that may be interesting to someone other than myself, LOL! Gonna be ramping it up here pretty soon with better video, sound, editing, and hopefully a regular weekly release schedule. Might even start to vlog a bit... we'll see.

I finally settled on Kdenlive to do most of my video editing, and if I need to mess with audio tracks I use Audacity. I have also used Cinelerra for video editing, but honestly using that for the simple daily log stuff that I am doing is like using a formula one car to go to the grocery store. Cinelerra is an awesome video editing software, just way more than I need at the moment. (I have to admit I have thought about going back to it now that I am getting ready to change my video editing routine, but if I can still do what I need with Kdenlive, I'm gonna stick with it.)

I use the stock GoPro Studio for right now. I did get Corel VideoStuido but the GoPro stuff is really fast and easy. But too easy for the professional. I may change it up later to see how I like it.

I subbed to your channel Mr. B and g00gl3it I have been a sub of yours.

Tenth subscriber if I saw that correctly... your channel is spot on for my interests. It seems bikes, guns, and Jeeps just go together. I currently only have bike footage on my channel, but have thought about adding video of range days and my Jeeps. This thread is giving me too many ideas!

I'm looking for a good point and shoot - thinking the SX700 as I can put an external mic on it and it does slo-mo pretty good with 30x zoom.

I use gopro's and other misc action cams. Cannon T5i and 70D. And Sony handicam.

Editing in Adobe Premiere Elements 12. Looking to upgrade to Avid.

So you probably use the GoPro in narrow format, right? Most of mine are wide format due to riding, etc. But lately I've been using it in the garage for my mechanical vids. Haven't edited them yet, though, so I don't know how well the narrow mode works.

That's why I took this at 6pm on a Saturday! There was two other cars in the parking lot but I am sure the owners were in the school doing other things and not paying attention to a silly ole biker like me.

I use 1080p at 30 fps. Setting up a tripod with a DSLR would be best for mechanical stuff so you can get the focus right.

Here is my latest video, picking up a 600rr:
