hornet gymkhana

Seen tons of these japanese vids, we don't usually see a hornet in action though.

...too bad it wasn't a perfect run.

He sure picked that bike up quickly. Mistakes or not, he probably got a better time on wet pavement than I would get in the dry.

Three mistakes but still great to see. Where does he have those engine guards attached too?

He does a fine job in the conditions!

The twists and turns of the track remind me of this kind of event, except that the vehicles have many more hundreds of horsepower at their disposal...

Yeah, they do a series of runs, dropping half the field at a time, until they get down to last 8, last 4, then the final runoff. Like a rally sprint in cars.

The course is so tight that if they should happen to lose it on a turn, the result can be a spectacular barrel roll up on to dry land. The boats are only 12-14ft long, just enough to squeeze in the blown big block, jet unit and not much else....

The fact that those guys can do that shit in the rain amazes me.

I attended a Ghymkhana event a couple of weeks ago on mine!

It was my first one ever, so I wasn't exactly a speed demon, but I had a blast, and learned alot!

If you haven't ever done it, I highly reccomend it!

Looks like a great time. I'm new to the streetbike thing so I've never heard of Ghymkhana before. Looks like the "slow runs" or the police rodeo though. Donnie Williams is the man. You can hear the chrome scraping.
