Homeward Trip from Moto GP

What a time I had at the Moto Gp. It was a pleasure meeting all the forum members that made the trek to Indy. I felt bad that I didn't make it down Friday, yet so many others did. Guess I didn't wanna get the bike all dirty and more importantly ME soaking wet! There were some awesome bikes to see and plenty of bike swapping going on (is that like wife swapping?). I rode Jared's Speed Triple and all I can say is WOW! I love the smooth power and the incredible handling it had. I'd have no problem keeping a Trip in my garage!!!

Anyway, I took the LONG way home to make up for my wimpy 2 hour seat time on the trip to indy. I took 52 out of Indy (Great road after Rushville), over to 101 and up 27 all the way home. Between all my stopping to look at chit and taking pictures It took me 7 hours to get home, and was my AZZ ever ready to get off the bike!

Here are some pics of the trip home.

Hey, at least we seen you while we were pulling into the bike night. Actually, I think Jared almost hit you?

Yeah he almost got me. That was unreal. I am pretty worn out today. I must have walked 50 miles since Friday.

I take it you found the Photo's on Photobucket? I just started a new account so as to not put any incriminating photos on my real account! I even got a good photobucket name "MotoGPhotos"

I think the next time I'm in that area I will hit up 121. It would make a nice trip coming down 27 South - 101 South - 52 West - 121 North - 44 East and 27 back North for home. I've been on 121 several times but never on a bike, I should have done it Sunday but I would never have seen the Whitewater Canal. Was worth it to see the Canal since I have a real interest for old Canal systems.

I-69 is one of the most boring rides ever. I drive and ride from Indy to the Fort all the time. Im going to try something different the next time. In a cage it is quick straight and easy.

It is the Mount Metamora Castle. Mount Metamora Castle and Cross in Metamora Indiana Very cool, it is only open on Saturdays so I think we will be taking a trip back down there some time to see it up close. I was just saying to my wife how it's strange that we don't of the beautiful sites around us locally and that this is the meaning of a day trip. "Let the road take you where it will and just enjoy the ride"

I said it sounded awesome, but I prefer the undertail............that and I know how much the exhaust vs. front end would run

I personally think that these two say enough.. Regardless, it sounded like a great time.. Wish I could have been there.
