Couldn't Wait (919 Pics)

Well I was supposed to go pick her up Saturday but the itch was just too hard not to go ahead and scratch. It's a 2002 painted Velocity red metallic. If there was a real carbon fiber part made it has it, fenders, skid plates, cosmetic pieces. It has been flawlessly maintained, with a hole folder full of receipts and most importantly the vale adjustment was took care of by a Honda cert tech on time. It has a new D.I.D. chain, new sprockets. It has had Mobile 1 4T racing since ownership started and has all of those records as well. It has the Hornet euro front mini fairing that is a Honda part with receipt. I mean this guy did it right and I am lucky imo. It has risers on the bars and huge tall round mirrors (he was 6'6") those will prob be changed around for a renthal bar and regular rectangular type mirrors. Anyways it is getting the bafflectomy this weekend and that's probably the end of it (we all know that's a lie you never stop saying what if lol"

Nice! What's the "fire blade" on the swing arm for? Is the 919 known as a Fire Blade? I thought that was a close but different bike.

Looks great, what's your plans for it?

Nice looking 9er! Do yourself a favor and move the sliders to the frame so the engine case tab doesn't snap if you drop her.

Congrats. That's a Givi fairing.

The fireblade sticker is just a sticker I believe because fireblade refers to a euro cbr.
I will move the sliders just noticed that and thanks.
And cool the reciept said Honda but thats good to know on the Givi brand. Is it a quality piece? It looks well made.

Its a custom color. When the owner bought it they only came in flat black I believe he said. I like it but it will probably get painted this winter. I will probably do a nice bright yellow with black euro style striping to emulate an actual hornet. But then again its a really nice paint job just dusty, so I may just ride the paint off it so to speak.

After looking at pics i believe your right on the mirrors. I will try them out i guess. The riser has to go though, its hard for me to tuck behind the winshield. It puts force on my elbows. I will prob grab the flatter wider renthal bar unless you guys have some cool ideas.

Don't bother with gutted cans. OEM may be quiet, but they SOUND better. The noise they make at about 60MPH when you crack the throttle is intoxicating. Gutting the cans just makes it sound like a wet fart.

Your unmolested stock cans will be worth more if you ever sell them. Also they are excellent touring cans, quiet and don't get hot. Just get some loud aftermarket cans and keep your stock ones intact.
Will you get a pc111usb when you get your new exhaust? It helps.
Definitely get rid of the EPA stuff. Your bike will run and sound better. Also declutters the head area.

I second the headshake on this bike, lol. Not a fan of the color, and it looks like you'd have to be a ZZ Top wannabe to ride it in style.

But, to each their own.

Remove the frame sliders asap ;-)
