Baltimore Grand Prix

Went to the Inaugural Baltimore Grand Prix qualifying round yesterday. The track was created through the city streets of downtown Baltimore and actually circled Camden Yards. Great run event! A friend of mine is a distributor for one of the Mazda Racing Team sponsors and got us passes that let us go anywhere, including the pits and complete access to the Mazda Racing paddock area. It was a day of pure motor sports porn. Those motors sound incredible.

My wife and I were there too. Spent the night in the Mt. Vernon Hotel in Bmore off of Charles St. It was a really nice event.

We were sitting in turn 12 had paddock passes to the Indy car paddock as well. It was a good time and I will do it again next year too!

Dang I wasn't too far from you. I was mostly between turn 12 and chicane or over near the pits. I will definitely go again next year and get a hotel for the weekend.

I watched that on TV today. I love road course racing. Much better than that boring oval shit. In my opinion, Monaco is probably the best road circuit there is. In fact, I'm half tempted to make a scale model of the Monaco GP with slot cars and build it all out on a table with scale buildings and the Rivera and all that jazz. But Baltimore was fun.
