A few videos from yesterdays ride

Had a fun little ride on the playground yesterday evening before the sun went down.... headed up NC 226A which is always a favorite cuz it's soooo empty every time. I wanted to come back down NC 80 which is another favorite, but it was starting to get dark so I just came back down the same way. I don't haul ass on the street so it's not a fast knee dragging kind of ride, just having fun at a safe reasonable pace and working on my body positioning and trying some new stuff I learned sitting in on one of Lee Parks "Total Control" classes last weekend (hence I got the wiggles a few times, and missed my lines a few times too trying different things, lol)

I was playing around with my GoPro camera since I haven't used it in awhile, and trying it in a few different spots on the bike. I think I like this one...

Going up the mountain (the really good part of the road starts at about 1/3 of the way into the vid or so)

And coming back down

This is why I loooooooove living here where I do so much =)

Very very nice. Man those roads look so smooth. Your bike is like an icon...running that well with so many miles, crazy!

PS...any maintenance recommendation to keep the bike running with that many miles on it?

Thanks for posting man. I've been in need of a long ride for a while and just might head up to 226 and the Parkway next weekend.

Not really anything special.... just sensible riding and not doing stupid crap (ie starting it up cold and bouncing it off the rev limiter right off the bat), keeping ALL the fluids clean, and doing the needed services on time... and when something does break, fixing it in a timely manner before it starts a train wreck taking other stuff out with it. That's about it....

Hey thirdgenlxi,

I'll send you a PM with my contact info. The plan at the moment is to ride up there on Sat with some friends via Lake Lure, Asheville and then the parkway. If you're not doing anything, I'd love to meet up somewhere up there. Of course, anyone else that would like to join is more than welcome too.
