919 ride videos

So RoboStraub 919 got me all fired up and I realized that I haven't posted any of my ride videos on WT.

This was my first go at it. Just using crappy SD cameras and the one on my bar vibed way too much . I think I'm gonna have to re-do it with my GoPro.

This is the next one I did with my GoPro. I was just learning Premier so that's why I threw in the music video stuff

Lets see your 919 vids guys

to get rid of vibrations in the camera.... mount the camera on a non moving part of the bike... let me explain.

Either mount the camera on the lower forks, or as close to the rear axle as possible.... i know it seems counter intuitive, but ull get a MUCH smoother picture as the axles dont vibrate like the rest of the bike does.

cool vid btw.

My videos are in better shape... I even throw in better camera angles, better audio, and no lame desynched transparent overlay!

Maybe you should think twice before pulling that sort of dick move again. I have nothing better to do than return the favor, since my 919 is a-building.

Even waited almost two days to see if he'd retract or apologize. Nope.

Not kicking you in the head here. Not taking sides either, the 2 of you could make a great video. He's got the scenery and you've got the hardware

No, you weren't the one that kicked me in the head - he was, by threadcrapping where he did.

The funny part is that I'm using the same or possibly a slightly inferior GoPro for my videos than he used for his. I just happen to have RTFM and know how to use it.

Holy shit dude, you need to take a chill pill! This thing here --> <-- meant I was joking. I hope you got your $100 or whatever you were asking. I'm not selling mine, but if I do I hope I get close to what you were asking too.

Way to take it to the next level though If you're really that put out I'll be sure to consider you're delicate sensibilities before posting in your threads in the future.

GREAT video. Your riding style is relaxed but you had the right music to go along with it. Not trying to be Rossi, simply good riding.

What kind of bar do you have on and what is that stock exhaust or aftermarket?

Cheers

Thanks I'm not a racer and I get uncomfortable when I feel I'm riding outside of my ability so I just cruise

The bar I had on in that video was just a cheap steel motocross bar IIRC. I have since gone to a Renthal Road Ultra Low and I love it. My exhaust was just a baffelectomized stocker.

That was a lot of overtaking on double yellows. I thought I read somewhere that parks up there allow that?

Great vid Wally! Just out of curiosity, where are you mounting your camera to get the footage with the crash bars?

This is sort of bringing one back from the dead, but here's mine I posted back in '09. https://www.wristtwisters.com/f94/wa-...9er-21743.html

Man I'm sorry but those videos in Dallas are boring and depressing. No offense really. I lived in Houston for a year and your videos brought back memories of the year I'll never get back. It's flat, brown, deadish looking trees, and stop to stop traffic. Did you ever get over 30 mph?

Those were only posted as a response to provocation elsewhere, which has been apologized for.

Also, uh, they were taken in winter. Everything in north Texas IS brown and dead then. Not a whole hell of a lot you can do about that. It's called 'a season.'

But if you want some better videos from the same rig...

YouTube - ‪Rural Texas Cruise 29 May 2011 - Part 2‬‏

Sadly, I shot the next pair while I was having a not-great day and my displayed riding skills are sub-par. However, they're shot on the 919, and it was a test of the helmet mount for the camera.
