Wow, that 8-spoke looks mighty sharp. Great addition!

So these motorcycle HID lights, can you use them in regular housing? Very interested on an upgrade like that.

I still wonder why Honda make the emblem yellow. It looks out of place.

HID lights can be found at Wire My Bike Let him know that I sent you and what type of bike you have. He is just starting to develop the Bi-Xenon bulbs that will work in the 919 and other setups with a single HI/LOW bulb.

The GPS is a garmin nuvi 1390T. It was a gift for Christmas for my car. I bought the Motorcycle Stem mount with 3" arm, GPS Holder for the 1390T and a wire kit all from Garmin GPS, XM, Sirius, Magellan GPS, Lowrance GPS, TomTom GPS, MIO GPS & RAM GPS Mount Authorized Dealer at MountGuys.com The GPS works Great on the bike and with Blue tooth I can pipe it into a wireless headset for the audio, and even load my music into rather than the iPod I normally use.

Can't help with the yellow Honda wing. It is found on previous years of the VFR series also.

As for the 8 Spoke wheel... I've searched high and low for one that didn't cost $500, I scored this one on ebay for 189! Then 60 for Powder Coating.

funny you mention that.... There is a guy that has developed a very sweet SuperCharger kit for the VFR. I think they are expecting about 180HP from the Sixth Gen VTEC motors.

How much weight did you lose with the exhaust swap?

My Speed Triple makes better torque and hp until 8k then Lord have mercy that VFR will sprout wings and fly.

How does your bike feel in comparison to your old niner? In terms of weight, comfort, power, etc.?

Weight... at a stand still it is a freaking lead weight, but once moving it is like an extension of you. Feels light, handles great and just takes on a whole different personality.

Comfort... It is very comfortable, I do find that the seat leans a bit to forward and the bar height to be a bit forward. But even with them two issues it is a very comfy bike and very road trip worthy.

Power... I'd say that is is about the same. But feels totally different because of the I4 vs. V4. You really don't feel it with the VFR like you do with the 919. It is there though and you've really got to pay attention to what your doing because it is so deceptive.

Over all, I am very satisfied with the purchase and really don't miss the 919 one bit! I was at the dealer the other day having the tire mounted on the new 8 Spoke and found out that they sold the 919. Hard to believe they sold it with the 5695 price tag they had on it.

that reminds me, I scored a brand new Service manual for 20 bucks! they did have a 919 manual for the same price. If anyone is interested I'd pick it up and send it to you. They had about 20 different models of service manuals clearance Priced.

Bike looks great. Definitely the coolest color scheme in 25 years.

You could probably reduce drag by cutting down the plastic shovel stuck to the back end

... and that has to be the most awesome dyno chart ever. Must feel like the guy who strapped a JATO pack to his car when it hits 7K RPM

But you have to take into consideration your comparing apples to oranges...

your 3 cylinder 1050cc's ... vs 782cc's of the VFR ... and that your speed only revs to ~ 9.5K rpms ... the VRF has another 3k rpms on that!

I was youtubin some of the supercharged vfr's and GDAMN! they sound AWESOME

And that dyno chart above... UP UP UP AND AWAY!!!
