I have lots of gear...

Bell Star helmet
Shoei DS Hornet helmet
HJC AC-12 carbon fiber helmet
Tourmaster leather jacket
Cortech leather pants
First Gear mesh jacket
First Gear mesh pants
First gear 3/4 mesh jacket
Joe Rocket all weather textile jacket
Joe Rocket all weather textile pants
Frogg Toggs
Alpinestars SMX-5 boots
Alpinestars dual sport boots
Icon street boots
Oxtar street boots
Gloves - about 10 assorted pairs of leather and textile
Armored long underwear
Armored mesh shirt
Padded safety shorts
External knee armor
Various neck and face warmers and balaclavas

I wear at a minimum, helmet, jacket, gloves, and boots, AT ALL TIMES. Usually wear riding pants or armored underwear under jeans. Feel naked without it.

HJC helmet
MotoGP pants
Fieldsheer Jacket
Fieldsheer Gloves for cold months
Oneal offroad gloves in the hot months

hoping to get more gear soon, I've been looking at the ICON Patrol overpants for ease of removal. I ride ATGATT so pulling the motoGP pants on and off requires boot removal which sucks when making multiple stops.

The places my 919 has taken me:

Do you like the hornet helmet? I've been toying with the idea of getting a "cross-over" helmet

Orange - i like the icon gear, it is decent quality and has a good amount of features for the price. I also prefer the relaxed "street" fit of there gear.

The Shoei DS Hornet is outstanding! I only use it on my dual sport, and mainly at lower speeds, the visor does cause some buffeting at higher speeds.

Thanks for that, it was really my only concern. When Icon first launched, and really still today, they seem to market towards the stunt and squid crowd and really don't have a great perceived reputation for quality. Sort of like Joe Rocket in the beginning stages of that company.

I also like the relaxed fit of their gear but at $250 for a pair of pants I want to make sure that they are going to last a long time. I am a cheap SOB after all. I also need to find a place to try them on and see them for myself.

I have:
Nolan N43 Helmet
Scorpion Stinger Stealth Jacket
Ixon Inox Jacket
Alpinestars SMX-2 Air Carbon Gloves
Draggin Jeans
Icon 4 Super Duty Boots
Cheap @$$ bike sunglasses

I want:
A Shoei RF1100 or Bell RS, because the Nolan is noisy and scrapes my chin
Olympia or other armored cargo pants

I always wear a helmet (because I am not retarded), and almost always jacket and gloves. The rest is mix and match according to weather and destination.

The only issue i have had is a button popped out the leather on my old jacket. They use ykk zippers i beleive so they work well. I have been pleased with there products.

Try and catch one of the big international motorcycle shows this winter. I go every year in chicago and the vendors have tons of stuff to try on. Last year i ended up spending 1500 on a new outfit for me and my fiance. They run show special pricing too.

My year-round gear, regardless of ride length or heat Is:

Scorpion EXO 400 helmet
Tourmaster Transition 2, 3/4 length, high-vis jacket
Joe Rocket Ballistic overpants
Technic full height race boots
Technic full length gloves
Earplugs (as of this week)

I have Tourmaster rain gear that I throw over all that in the rain

I am looking at additional under jacket armor (vest and back) and strap on shin and knee protection to replace the shifty ones in the pants

I wear a Sparx helmet, Olympia gauntlet-type gloves=insulated, Astar jacket or Olympia tourmaster jacket, olympia tourmaster textile pants with integrated armor padding, and my basic training combat boots. I've been considering Astars leather pants to match my jacket--it's full circumference zipper, race legal with the pants--and maybe some Sidi boots, the Astars i tried on didn't fit as well last i checked. Are we having fun yet?

im doing great im upto 75% weight bearing on my leg and almost back to full range of motion in both hand and leg, next week ill be 100% wieght bearing.

the only thing bothering me now is my insurance which is not wanting to pay up after getting a estimate of 33 thousand dollars to fix my bike. i know i wont get 33k but im not taking anything less than the cost of my bike and what ever it takes to set the new bike back up identical to my old bike.

Glad to hear your recovery is going well! I wish you good luck with the ins. co., there should be no reason they don't pay if you have the proper coverage, keep after them.

Congrats on the rehab progress.

$33k!! What did you do to that GSXR to get it that high? I know it might be painful to talk about, but that sounds like quite a bike.

yea thats what all pissyness is about is the 33k i had well over 11k in aftermarket parts, this also isnt counting engine work, or my work installing anything not inside the motor.

quick specs

166rwhp
83ft pounds of torque
374lbs with gas
lot's of magnesium titanium, and carbon fiber. i was lucky that i didnt have the crazy rare carbonfiber gas tank mounted up or it would jack the price even further i think those were 2500 new.

new call well im going to tell them look tell me what new bike has these specs...............ehhh none, no mass produced bike can match all of those numbers yes some make more power BUT they weigh significantly more. look to match the bike your looking at a something beyond a 30 something thousand dolloar 1198 ducati corsa edition, and even that bike is heavy in compairison.

i told them i know im not getting 33k but dont even think your gonna low ball me with nada or some kinda low market value, your replacing my bike as it sat when i was riding it during that crash period. she said she was going to have to talk to her boss and they would see what they can do, aaaaaannnnnndddd no call since early last week so this week starts the i call every damn day week until i am satisfied week, which will follow with next week i call multiple times everyday until i am satisfied which will follow with i call a lawyer week.

Sweet, thx to Ken for bumping this - missed it the first time around.

Shoei x12 - Shoya Tomizawa
OGK - FF5
OGK - Teleos (for sale on here)
Suomy Ventura

Spartan leathers jacket
Alpinestars textile jacket

Teknic Xcelerator gloves
Teknic old cf gloves
Olympia cold weather gloves

Sidi Vertigo air boots
Alpinestars SMX plus boots

Forcefield T2 back protector

Pilot leathers 1 piece suit

Senna bluetooth communicator (a must)

Running shirts (long sleeve for suit)
Jogger tights for suit
Mtn biking socks, every ride

Jeans with Icon field knee protectors
MotoGP textile pants

For those wanting a nice lid, I'd stick with one nice, and one 'ok' lid. I've spent too much $$$ on helmets. X11's have gotten cheaper, and I know many have 09 build dates. Weight and top ventilation pushed me to the nicer lids. I had an HJC sub-$200 and my Suomy Ventura - both with crappy ventilation. Although the Ventura is the lightest lid I've owned - lighter than my Spec1r Extreme lids.
