Hyper Optiks is a transitional solution. I've been using one on my clear OGK shield for about a month. Not bad, resists fogging very well but doesn't get anywhere near as dark as a tinted shield and would not consider it as a replacement for tinted shield unless you bring sunglasses along.

I have one of those Fog City inserts, on one of my helmets. It actually works pretty well, although maybe not quite as well as the package shows. It was pretty easy to install, just stuck on the inside of the shield.

I figured it couldn't hurt to try it, after I lost track of time and was out at night with my mirrored shield...

followup on the Hyper Optiks - ripped the damned thing off and threw it away, got sick of its poor tint performance. Demoted the Revo's to helmet glasses and bought a pair of Maui Jim's for light duty use.
