Teknic Speedstar Short Gloves

I ordered some Tecknic Speedstar Short Gloves from NewEnough a few days ago and just got them in the mail. For $37.99 I'm extremely happy with these gloves.

They are currently on closeout here (http://www.newenough.com/closeouts/b...le_gloves.html) and normally run a little over $100.

The kangaroo palms are very supple yet feels like it is strong enough to last. The top of the glove is perforated leather with molded plastic on ALL finger knuckles. The thumb has 3 layers of leather with some additional padding over the knuckles. I normally wear XL Craftsman gloves when working in the shop so that's what I ordered. They do fit a little more snug than my mechanics gloves, but the size seems to run true.

I also like the KNOX sliders/protection on the base of the palm.

Here's a couple photos from NewEnough's website.

Ride Report: I took off yesterday afternoon on a short around the county ride to run some gas through the bike and feel out the gloves.

The gloves nice and comfy. Plenty of flex in the fingers to grab the bars. They move a lot of air though so my short ride ended up about freezing my hands. They are a bit warmer than my mesh gloves, but I think they will work well spring through fall. Not winter.

I like the looks of these gloves. And at that price, it would be hard to pass up. My only question is I know I don't want a gauntlet style glove, but I do have long arms and don't want skin to show between my gloves and jacket. They don't go up too far, but do these gloves extend all past the wrist?

They cover my wrists. Not much beyond that, but it does cover the little knob on my wrists.

Thanks for spotting these. I just hit the order button and should have them some time next week. Now if it would just warm up here so I could go riding!

Mine shipped from Texas to Kentucky and I had them in 2 days. I had to exchange my boots and they got here the day after I ordered them.

Good luck on finding some warmer weather.

Haha thanks! I'm in CO where the winters don't exactly mean cold riding days. I haven't taken my bike out of the garage in about 3 weeks. It's killing me!
