Teknic Freestyle textile jackets for 59 dollars!

This is a excellent deal at Newenough right now. Thought I'd pass it on.

I don't remember if it was quite that cheap when i got it but it's a pretty decent jacket. Only problem is the sleeves button instead of velcro, so when i went down the sleeve rode up and i still got some road rash on my arm.

can you find me a leather jacket for that price? I need one with a winter linear. My Spidi jacket is nice, but the leather gets cold without the linear that I'm used to. It has been in the high 30s the last few nights headed home.

Looks like a good deal. I'm not certain of the Teknic sizing? Do they run true, larger, or smaller?

Teknic fits pretty true to size. It is a little loose when the liner is out, but nothing to complain about.

I've been looking at this jacket since the first post, but can't decide on a color. I like the visibility of the Yellow, but like how the red jacket and black bike would look together.

Any thoughts? I'm looking at picking a good textile jacket up before my trip to the mountains this summer.

Arrived this morning. Not bad for $70 total. It's worth the money. Decent build quality, nice features, zip in quilted liner, exposed plastic armor (not great, but something), a small back pad, etc.

Got the 52 black. It fits true to size of a sportcoat or XXL. Fits right with enough room to wear an extra layer if needed. The sleeves are a tad long, but to be expected with being only 5' 10" needing this size. Only real gripe, but again expected, is the waist adjustment. It has 3-positions with is not enough. I will need to sew or secure it as far as the adjustment strap allows and it is still too loose.

If you are looking for a decent textile jacket at a inexpensive price ... this is worth it.

I got my jacket today but will have to return it. The left sleeve was twisted 360 degrees before being sewn onto the end of the shell. I've sent a return request to New Enough but haven't heard back yet. I'll call them tomorrow at 9:00 if I haven't heard back from them by then. They still have my size so I'm sure they will correct the problem at no charge. I do wish it wasn't messed up because the next two days will be perfect for testing it out. Oh well.

Great Customer Service!!!

I emailed NewEnough about my problem last night and received this response early this morning... Great customer service if I do say so myself...

Hey Chris,
I am so sorry about your jacket. I have emailed a return shipping label through Fed Ex to you. Please know that it is coming directly though Fed Ex's website so check your spam folder if you have a filter set up through your email server. I have also sent another jacket out to you today. You will not be charged for this other jacket unless we don't receive the defective jacket back in the warehouse in 20 days. You are all set and the jacket should be there by this weekend. Please let me know if there is anything else that I can do for you.

Sincerely,

Jilisa

Some great deals in their closeout listings, unfortunately almost everything I'm interested in is sold out in my size. I do like this leather jacket but not sure about the flames on the sleeves....

http://www.newenough.com/closeouts/b...le_jacket.html

Evidently that inferno jacket only appeals to bigger guys, only the XXL and up sizes are sold out!

Jacket came in today...

Overall appearance is pretty good,
Fits great in the shoulders,
Arms a little too long but liveable,
Arms are also baggy but the sench strap helps out,
Waist is also too loose, sench strap helps a little...

Overall I'm pleased with it, Got a 46 cause the 44 wasn't available but a 44 probably would've fit a little snugger and better but the 46 will leave room for a double layer of clothing if needed on cold days.

Regardless, A great deal at $70.80 delivered

...For the price, I figured I'd give this jacket a shot. I recieved it a couple days ago and have been ride-testing it for about 300 miles so far. Mine is the yellow/black one, and I wasn't sure I'd like that color choice, but its growing on me...I've also recieved a couple of compliments on it, and it is indeed highly visible. I'd agreewith the flaws noted above, and also note that when I turn my head, my helmet bumps the shoulder guards... overall I think I like it

Well, fire the engines! Spur this iron space-pony on!

Ok, I've had a chance to wear mine a few times and this is my review. Overall a very well constructed jacket. Wind and waterproof. Perfect for these 50 degree days. The sleeves are a little long that been said its doesn't matter. There are adjustments on the wrists and arms that make it fit well. I wear short gloves so a little length to cover my wrists is welcome. The waist is adjustable as well though not much. I do find the jacket to be about 2 inches too short around the waist, maybe I'm just too fat. Lots of pockets, and CE rated protective gear. Reflective pieces for night riding. Only other thing I haven't gotten used to yet is the neck area seems to choke me a little bit and the air blade system in the shoulders feels like I am a kite in a sitting back position. And I do hit my helmet on the shoulders too. Not a big deal just kinda different. Overall this is a great jacket at an unbeatable price. It's warmer then my JoeRocket perforated leather and I am sure it will be cooler in the summer with all the vents. I like it.

So...now that we all have one of these...how are you liking it?

I've ridden in mine about 400 miles and am loving it for cool to moderately warm weather. With the liner removed it does fit a bit loose. However, once I open up the vents, it puffs up internally and feels nice and snug again.
