I meant that I signed up. Not that I want to look like you. I'll leave that to Mike. I'd rather look like Mr.T.

Sooo...what happens at night with this thing. Cameras simplify to night vision mode? Can you turn it all off or portions? Its rhetorical questions i know, but a waste of battery power if you cant.

Cool concept! I bet pricey tho

I may not have a lot to say but it doesn't mean I don't listen.

Rear-view camera and built in speakers. Not to mention that the bulk on the side of the glasses would press into your head, if it even fits in the first place.

Built in speakers is moot for me. Rear view camera could be easily done.

Well, it does that as well as voice recognition (pairs with smartphones) for GPS, phone calls, etc.

I'm assuming you could use it to send text messages and such as well??

I just know I'm going to be up at 6 am haunting their website...anyone else get that email?

I got it as well. Since I'm in the market for a new helmet anyways, was seriously considering it. I'll be sitting at work hitting the refresh button to see if I can get one of the first 25 slots.

Of course, if I do get a skully, it'll mean that I'll have to leave my entire helmet outside when I go to work (No wireless devices allowed ). Right now I just pop my XBi2 off my helmet and leave it in the tank bag, although that means that the attachment clip is starting to get a little flaky, the stupid thing has been known to just pop off during a ride, luckily the cord has kept it from going flying so far...

I was thinking double that considering a Shuberth C3-pro with integrated blu tooth option is $1200.

Schuberth C3 Pro SRC System - RevZilla

Dear Ken,

If you happen to purchase a Skully helmet, please know that we will instead ship the unit to g00gl3it, who, as a troll, bothered us so much we needed to shut him up.

The e-mail says pricing will come out Monday in another e-mail before the sale starts at 9am EST. I know I will have my phone on and looking for an e-mail. I can't swing $1K on a helmet right now so I hope it is less than that.

1000 $ beta testing kinda sucks but I guess someone will have the deep pockets to try it out. I was kind of hoping it wouldn't be so expensive but I guess if you look at the tech involved it's gonna cost a fair amount...

I'm just wondering how high demand will be... order two and sell the 2nd for slightly higher to help pay for the first. I try and do this on any hyped up product with low supply.

I doubt I'd buy 2 when you know it's basically version 1.0 and the next versions are going to be cheaper and have more features. The idea of paying to beta test has kind of gotten roughshod as of late. Beta testing used to mean they provide you with a unit, you test and offer feedback, and then they implement the improvements because you know the Beta version is going to have a lot of issues. To pay 1000 for a test unit, I'd have to be gauranteed the ability to get an updated helmet along the way, because in my experience, beta units have always turned out to be a hot mess.

Well, these aren't beta units. These are first gen prod. Beta has already ran for the last several months, so hopefully they've worked out the bugs.

The good thing with something software based, though, is if there are any bugs, they can easily be remedied with a firmware/software update, which I'm sure they've thought of and provided a way to fix.
