Oxtar boots - TCS

Anyone wearing Oxtar boots in our crowd? I have been contemplating a pair of closeout Oxtar TCS Sports for some time now and stock is getting down to the point where I need to act if a purchase is to be made. I have a pair of Sidi Champions now that are ok, but don't offer the protection of a more race-type boot. I don't ride long trips or track time - mostly around town (commuting to work) and occasional fun rides. I am always becoming more concious as to the protection level of my riding gear. I am happy with everything but the boots I wear. The Sidi's are decent for walking around off the bike and other than their black finish - look like other boots.

My question, if anyone has the Oxtar's already, how do you like them? Are they comfortable to walk around in a bit? Would you buy them again?

Oxtar is going thru a name change and these boots sold for around $250 just 6 months ago. Now they are selling for around $100.

Wow... That is a excellent price. Too bad my size is sold out.

Oxtar makes a very good boot. I had a set of their TCS about six years ago and I remembr they fit very well right out of the box. Almost no break in was needed.

I have a pair of TCX Evo RXs, really like them. I got mine on close out for $180 shipped 2 summers ago. The ones i have are a bit noisy because of the Torsion control sys for the ankles. I've never been down in them but they seem to offer good protection and they are comfortable boots. Mine are vented though so if you're riding in cool weather or rain you will get cold and wet wearing these puppies.
