Overpants?

I'm in the need for some lower body protection. I've been riding with jeans (I know it's terrible) and know that I need some more protection. For a jacket, I have a Cortech GX Sport 2 and would like to have something to complement it.

I know that leather is the best, but it doesn't fit the kind of riding that I will be doing which involves sightseeing, commuting, etc. At the same time, I am beginning to ride a little (key word...LITTLE) more aggressively and want something with decent protection.

I hope to find something that will serve as an overpant, have good armor, be somewhat waterproof and have a removable liner for cooler weather. I've been looking at the Tourmaster Caliber pant and am thinking about ordering a pair. Before I do, are there any other options that I should consider? Does anyone have experience that they would like to share?

Thanks Barton, I checked out their website, but didn't find any information. However, I'm still looking.

If they are for winter (colder) riding, I'm very happy with the Fieldsheer pants.

I have a pair of Olympia Moto Sports Ranger 2 pants, I love them. I think they were designed as an overpant, they come with a thermal lining for cold weather, I don't wear them as an overpant. I've worn them uo to about 8o deg., a little warm if you're not moving. I plan to get a pair of vented pants in the spring for the warmer weather.
