New Leathers

Hasbeenracer put a set of leathers in the classifieds, and I decided it was time to upgrade my gear. I called him and he made me an offer I simply couldn't refuse, so here they are.

Normally I don't expect off the rack leathers to fit very well, especially when there's only one size to choose from ... but they are very close to the right size for me, not surprising as Alan and me are close to the same size (minus a little on my part).

Just standing they are not very comfortable, but once underway weird pressure points and loose spots disappear and they are a very good fit. Another plus is they match my Teknic boots quite well, although the helmet is a bit of a clash. No problem as it will need replacement soon.

In the first photo notice how low and narrow the bars are -- just above the clamps and a little wider than my shoulders. This is the first photo I've had taken with me on the bike, and I think the whole package looks pretty cool.

Thanks Alan!

Rob

If it has already been done, it is safe to assume it is possible to do it.
On the other hand, if it has not been done never assume it is impossible to do it.

You're right I couldn't, so fast in the straights I overshot in the corner. Oh well, next time.

Not Miller though, by the time I finish that crazy long straight you'd have lapped me already. Lolz

Dude, watching videos of MillerMP gives me anxiety attacks, that place is HUGE!!!

I think I'd like a few more smaller tracks first before tackling that puppy. The Ridge looks pretty sweet!

Actually, I have a friend with a Yamaha TZ750 with a full vesco motor and Hindle frame. I'll see if he's amenable to loaning it to me for a weekend or two. Hmmm ... 210 RWHP and an all up weight of 264 pounds -- with my semi fat ass on it the weight to horsepower is just a little over 2:1. Now that would be fun! Ain't a Tuono on the planet that could touch it.

The reality of this is I can't afford to race and with over 200 hours racing on various tracks ... track days don't interest me at all. Just upgrading my gear. Of course if an offer comes my way ...

Rob

You got them already....I didn't think they would show up til yesterday or today!
They look like a pretty good fit and a perfect match with your boots. I'm sure after a few rides they'll settle in and fit perfectly!

You're welcome Rob, Glad I could help out.

Can someone clue me in to what this "Lord Tuono Hunter" stuff is all about?
