In the market for a bluetooth communication kit

Bluetooth Communicator Guide 2012 at RevZilla.com - YouTube

I have an iphone 4s, so I want to use it for music, sending texts via voice commands and the occasional phone call. I do not plan on using an intercom feature.
I'll have my iphone on a Ram Mount and plan to wire up a charging cable to the battery, so please provide any insights on that as well.

Please provide experiences and suggestions.
Thank you!

I have a 4s with the scala rider g4 and I LOVE IT. its so freaking awesome. Especially since siri will read the texts back to you. The garmin app is great too while on the bike.

THe g9 is comming out, but to save money (especially since your not using the intercom feature) buy the g4 for cheaper, then when it comes out, get the g9 audio kit. It's just the base. The g9 has "HD" speakers. Just a better audio system. The g4 will work with the g9 base, I checked. When it is available I'm going to get the G9 base, and give my g4 base to a friend.

That's the one I was considering, I think from your recommendation I read months ago when I ordered the Ram Mount.
I've had this in my watched items list for a while now:
eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices
$205-shipped, unless anyone's seen it somewhere cheaper.

Power set $320. So $160 a piece if you know someone you want to split it with. I bought mine here I believe. Cheapest I could find for the power set (at the time. My father bought a powerset, and I bought a power set)

Scala Rider G4

Am I correct in assuming I can stream bluetooth music to this thing?
What is the battery life while doing that? I would guess it's less draining than during a phone call or talking. I'm hoping to get 12+ hours on a charge during road trips.

Another option I have been playing with, is buying an ipod shuffle and wiring it in from my jacket, that would use less power on both my phone and the headset.

The G4 works great! FYI, it's also compatible with Schuberth's SRC.

A few texts later, I got my brother talked into going in halvsies on a pair with me, thanks for the heads up on that boog.
Found these kits:
CARDO SCALA RIDER G4 POWERSET BLUETOOTH HEADSET KIT NEW. | eBay
&
Amazon.com: Scala Rider Cardo G4 - Powerset (Includes 2 G4 Headsets) SRPS0002: Automotive

I think I may spend the extra $10 and get it through Amazon, I'd feel a little safer that way.

Ordered.

Thanks for the input fellas.
If anyone else finds this thread and is in the search for the same, maybe we can pair up some users to save money like me and my brother did.

You wont be disappointed. Unless you listen to techno. There is not much bass in g4 speakers. I cant wait for the g9 audio kit to come out this month. Are you gonna upgrade the speakers/base?

No techno, just a little dubstep and hiphop. But I can live without bass, the iphone earbuds don't put out any, and I use those all the time.

Ordered an Interphone F5 a couple of days ago. I will report back after I've tested it.

Late to the party, but my buddy and I bought Senas last year. Then half of my office ended up getting them. With the newest update, you can do conferencing instead of channeling one-on-one.

I've used them for about 12k miles or so last riding season. We've gone for 14+ hr day rides, with me switching from chatting and music all along the way. Also been in down pours with no issues.
