Icon Overlord

Just got a new summer jacket for summer because I have grown leary of my textile jackets. I decided to try the new Icon Overlord in white. I'm 6'2" weigh in at 215lbs ordered a size xl. Icon's new stuff is really nice. The jacket is cut more A* style and fits great. Spent about 4 hours in the twistys last weekend and am blown away with this jacket on the bike.this jacket vents awsome. Its cut is perfect on the bike I also upgraded to their Stryker ce level 2 back protector and its really nice in the jacket. At its price point you will be hard pressed to find a better summer leather jacket. This jacket would not be good in cooler temps because it has no closeable venting, its all perforated.

no thanks.... i LOVE my icon ashphalt tech. leather jacket in black that i bought 5 years ago... been down with it several times and it only shows ONE tiny scuff. all round great jacket, perfect for cooler temps, and awesome for hot weather as it has vents everywhere. you couldnt pry it from my dead, cold, hands lol.

I'll be honest, I think "ICON" and I think crap... but I don't own any of it, and I don't recall hearing anyone bitch about it.

My supposition is that their "edgy" advertisements in the Moto-Mags is what's giving me this negative impression. /shrug

I won't discount their quality hearing both of your recommendations.

I never owned any Icon. But friends have. Their jackets are nice. Durable and comfy. The ones that have full sleeved liners are very warm. Much better than the usual useless vests that come in other jackets.

.....I hear Harley Davidson has a couple nice coats......

Sorry, I can't get past their stunter marketing campaign. Even police officers in my area make the same assumptions.

Gotta give them marketing credit for making hot lesbians make out in their photoshoots!

I know Icon gets bashed on boards because of the way they choose to advertrise.the fact remains this new jacket is very high quality for its price point. The details are Alpinestars like. YKK auto locking zippers. Check out the reviews at STG and Revzilla and see their opinions on the jacket. Its really that good for the money.

I have an Icon leather jacket. Motorhead I believe but I am not sure. Love the quality. Not really a fan of some of their styling but most of the gear does have options to tone it down a bit.
