Gaerne Balance Oiled Boots

I posted in the "what did you get for Christmas" thread I was going to pick these up. I just bought them and they should be here on Thursday. They are a Trials boot not meant for the hard core MX stuff and just a little harder for pure street. Adventure riding seems to be its forte. Just everything I have read makes this boot out to be EXACTLY what I am looking for. We tend to have a lot of loose fine gravel on the roads here in Colorado and with pervious boots I have had my feet slip out from under me (my one and so far only bike drop due to this). I bought some new work boots that have an aggressive sole and so far have never slipped on me but I still wanted a true motorcycle boot to ease off some of the wear and tear on my work boots. After seeing these I googled reviews and was taken to ADVrider and read an 8 page thread on them. As I said I think these are going to be perfect. I know a few of you have them already so use this page as your review page. When I get mine I will come back and give you a review with updates as the season comes back and I put the miles on them.

Did you get them in brown or black? I think I only saw the brown on MC superstore.

These are tempting; I really like the look of the brown, but most of my gear is black, so not sure how that would clash...

A very interesting wedding of old school oiled leather and mod features.

The oiled, therefor waterproof (with the help of gortex), only comes in brown the others are the Pros and are NOT waterproof.

You could tie the outfit together nicely with a black and brown murse.

He didn't wear it he carried it.

Back to the old 'tenticles' vs. 'testicles' debate. BIG difference.

....are you just trying to cover for yourself because you're going to have man-hooker boots?

...all joking aside, those things look sweet, I think they pulled it off very well.

Mine were (and still are) waterproof until I would get stuck and dab in a large puddle...
