Alpinestars Knee Armor

I've been looking at knee protection after dropping my bike and severely rashing/bruising my knee. I bought a set of Olympic textile armored pants for cooler weather. I also just ordered a set of Alpinestars knee armor from new enough for $24.95 for warmer weather. I thought they would be great to commute in since you just strap them on over your jeans and go. Hopefully they will be a lot more comfortable than the bohn armor is. Fieldsheer also makes some that go on under your jeans but I didn't want to have to change when I got to work. Here's a pic of both types. I bought the one on the left.

I have a pair of those that I've been using for a couple of years...Ridge had a pair as well and actually crash tested them and they did their job.

Thanks for the heads up Steve, I think I'll be buying some of those as well.

Monk was wearing those to and from the Virginia Beach shindig. Hopefully he'll jump in with some more experience points. They looked sturdy enough.
