a jacket by Xelement from Leatherup.com

just wanted to see if anyone has dealt with this site, or items of this price range. I'm looking for a jacket of this style. or, another option.

the second is about the top of my price range. I'll leave it at that for now.

I haven't dealt with them but many folks over on the big Kawasaki board I visit have and they rave about the place.

Looks good for the price. I could spend more if it seems as though I'd really be getting something significant for the money, which would be about double it appears...

I've dealt with Leatherup.com before.. as far as customer service they are pretty decent, you will find though that quite a bit of the things they have are also pretty cheap.. before I was into real protective gear, I had a few jackets and boots and such from there...all made in pakistan oddly enough, no armor even though it had (padding) of sorts in the elbows and back and all.. and within a year or so the stitching would loosen up, but they also sell some mid-higher quality things... Your best bet is to check out places that sell the better proven stuff... Newenough is great, very good customer service,. also check out Sandhillpowersports.com, good service as well.... and Motorcycle-Superstore.com , only screwed up a shipping order once... also check out SpeedWerks.com... i think the shopping site is still down, But they are very very personal and bend over backwards to help ya out.. most have very large selections that you can browse through by categories... then you can get a good idea/price range.. etc etc... and hunt down whatcha want exactly and of course another bonus is most of them will have the proven-name stuff,,and will list appropriate specs on the apparel, like CE approval, materials... etc...
