I’ve found that on the forums I am on the members are spread out across states and different countries, so haven’t had a lot of luck finding people to ride with on forums.
I know it can and does happen, but statistically the odds are lower than finding already formed riding groups on platforms with local formations for specific areas.
I found a couple of different groups in my area on meetup.com, so you might check that site/app out.
One fits me perfectly, mature minded sport bike and sport touring riders.
We like to ride “spirited” but stick to back country roads with less population density.
And ride with safety in mind (probably a relative term).
We ride hard but don’t take excessive risks around traffic (we pass when clear but no weaving a group in and out and through traffic, mostly on 2 lane roads anyway); and stop at turns, if needed, to allow the group to stay together so as to not pressure less experienced riders to ride above their skill level for fear of being left behind.
There is another meetup group I have gone to. They meet weekly to hang out and then some may ride afterward and some go get something to eat.
But they mostly like to ride around the city and get more hooligan.
Not really my thing but everybody likes different riding styles/experiences.
