UnCrash from Maine

Hi,

I've come to the forum via 919.org to learn about my new purchase.

Sunday I'll take a 2 hour bus ride north to pick up an '03 919 with 10,500 miles on it.

Looking forward to gleaning lots of and hopefully contributing something to this community.

I currently ride a '76 CB750F and am building a cafe '78 CB750F.

I'll sell my current ride down the road when I get the 919 in the stable and allow my focus to be in building the cafe and riding the 919.

Here's my current ride in need of a wash...

Rode the bike about 80 miles yesterday from the PO's home to mine.

What a blast!

The wind blast on the highway wasn't unreasonable when going less than 80 : )

Do the little fly screens do much good?

They do help. I have the factory screen on mine and it seems to do alright. It improves the wind up to about 100, then it still feels like your helmet is going to pull your head off.

Wait...I wasn't actually going 100...uhhh...I was going 75 straight into a 25 MPH wind. Yeah...that was it.
