Trade in CBR600RR to 919

Hi All,
As the thread title suggests, I recently traded in my 06 CBR600RR for a NEW 07 919. After 17,000 miles, 8 Oil Changes, way too many tires( I had 3 unfortunate run-ins with tiny sharp objects), a variety of passengers, several modifications, and the list could go on. I decided to make a change I saw the 919 on the rode on several occasions and was searching ever since. After looking all around PA, I finally gave up and came across a great deal in NJ.

As soon as I got home I started looking for options of what I can do to make the bike more my own, every search I put in brought me to wrist twisters. After a week of owning the 919 and 500miles, its time to join the WT community. Thanks for all your input so far, look forward to reading more in the future.

These guys have great ideas for spending all your money on your 9er! And it just so happens that you bought the fast 919... we all know the red ones are the fastest. Good luck with the 9er.

It a hard comparison to make, nothing beats the scream of the 600RR at high RPMs, dipping it down through turns was always exilerating. The biggest change for me is seating position, I have been on several different bikes and the 600rr feels almost like riding a CR250, your on top of the bike, it has no front end and when your really moving you feel like you should be wearing a cape. At first the 919 makes me feel like I should have highway bars and a T-shirt that reads "If you can read this the B$tch fell off!" but as soon as you blip the throttle going through an intersection past a bar that all goes out the window because you just caught the bird from someone on a Vrod.

I will admit...The turbo set up is sweet...I keep picturing 9nineteen's 919 with a Turbo added...Man, that would add a wow factor to an already awesome 919

Can't say that hasn't crossed my mind, having personally beat the living $hit out of 2004 STI. I have always wondered what turbo power could do for my riding.

Easy on the turbo-talk guys. Don't want 919/Ts' to become white noise, do we ?

Haha Welcome, one of my friends rides a 600rr and the other gxr1000 both of them after riding my bike for the first time came back with the oddest faces because they are not used to the riding position. Personally I love it.
