Third coast howdy
Just a quick introduction.
scgstuff is on another forum that I'm on and he said you guys were going to have a Texas meetup and posted a link here so I thought I'd join and get in on the ride.
I've ridden Brit bikes my whole life. Nothing against any other kind, that's just what I like. I just feel they have a lot of personality lacking in other bikes.
I have a 1963 BSA Road Rocket I rebuilt from a basket case. Lola has a cherry red frame, chrome gas tank with a red stripe down the middle, chrome oil tank and side cover and chrome swing arm. I don't ride her anymore because she's too expensive to fix.
Then there is Dani. She's a 2006 racing yellow Triumph Thruxton with TT pipes, CK carbs, a Corbin Smuggler saddle and many other mods. She will easily do the ton and begs for more. She pulls strong all the way up to redline and is at home in the twisties but I'm getting too old to be comfortable on her for more than an hour with her clipons.
Finally there is Marilyn, my little green hornet. She's a 1995 Triumph Trophy 4 in sexy BRG. I picked her up about 3 months ago with 8700 miles on the clock. First time I rode her, I fell in love. She's fast and powerful but a little top heavy. I took her out yesterday on our first day trip together. 420 miles and not a complaint. Took her up to Canyon Lake and rode the Devil's Backbone with some other Trumpie people. I had a great time and hope to do it again soon. She and I will be doing an Iron Butt (1500/36) later in the summer.
OK, that's about it for me. I'm sure we will see each other around the forum so until then, keep your powder dry.
