nother newby

Hi,Got an 07 CB900F a few weeks ago bone stock for now Satos If I can find em more than likely 2 bros carbon though when I get the tax check.
And of course PCIII USB + Ignition module(maybe).
It will take time for mods though $$$ need frame sliders ,levers, different mirrors, maybe a small bug shield, handlebars etc... etc.... shouldent be stock for long.
Need to get the license though I really havent ridden on the street since late 80's early 90's so Im taking it slow and really getting used to the bike, hard to not grab a handfull of throttle though.
There is a person on this site that drag races a 919?? I would like to know some of their mods and times.

welcome

put those crash bungs on sooner rather than later

$50 for sliders is better than a couple hundred for dent/paint repair or what have you...

ride w/o the PC3 for a while, see if the throttle response really bothers you because that's the only thing that'll change much when you install it

Welcome to the site. Enjoy the bike for awhile before going mod crazy. Get used to the way it handles, responds and then address the places that you would like to improve. The PCIII will likely not gain much other than a lighter wallet without a custom map done on a rolling dyno.

Put the sliders on 1st. We have an "inner club" here for folks who like to slide their bikes sideways.

Welcome japcrapnut ... what is this illusive CB900F you speak of?

It's better to have loved and lost than live with the psycho for life!

Wow thanks for the welcome.
Definately sliders first, I think im going to do the frame mount though, the engine tab deal doesent sit well with me .
As far as the mods Im a service tech at a dealership and Im sure I can find some maps that will work well but not about to drop $400.00 for a dyno run, bars and levers will be for riding comfort as I am short and have T-Rex arms.
My problem Im having with mods for this bike is that Tucker Rocky and Parts unlimited dont have very many after market goodies for the 919 and I get a discount for parts so I have to get the boss to get a few more vendors so I can keep the wallet full.
Any suggestions on frame sliders?Ill also have to see If I can get a discount on Kyles stuff as we are a dealership I dont know how that will fly with the boss buying from an indipendant speed shop?
