Just picked up a 2003 cb919. The bike was somewhat neglected by its PO and was in a low speed accident. I will fixing it up to ride and not be making any major upgrades. I also have a 1972 CB 750 and a Norton Commando. Hopefully, I will be able to adjust to a bike made in this century.
Anyway, If there are any other Niners in the Philly area give me a PM.
Welcome aboard!
Nice stable of bikes you have.
The 919 is an updated CB750, you'll adjust just fine.
Same weight, but much lighter touch in every respect, and has more power.
What year is the Commando?
Also a '72 with a Combat engine?
Nice!
I had a '71.
Loved those '72s, but recollect some ignition advancer problems early on that caused some engines to overheat.
I came close to buying a built to order Paul Dunstall Export Special in '73 to replace the '71 but ended up buying a CB750 instead.
Howdy and Welcome! You'll find almost anything you want to know about the 919 right here.
