new member looking for info on the honda 919

Hi from Rochester, NY. I'm currently looking for a 919 and have a 2007 I'm hoping to see next week. I'm looking for any issues that are common to the 919 to be aware of and anything special to look at when I see this bike. Thanks for any help you all can give.

Probably one of the most bullet proof bikes you will buy... I have never read of anyone wearing one out.
So, unless it's wrecked, or obviously not been maintained, then there are only minor things that are known to have issues;

Fuel pressure regulator. If it is spewing raw gas out the exhaust it's probably this.

How many miles it got? Don't be afraid of higher mileage.

I've got 18,000 miles on a 919 (over 30K on the odometer) and it runs and feels like a new bike. I honestly think it will go 100,000 miles unless someone abuses it. The engine and gearbox are under-stressed, so it should keep going for roughly 1.0 long-damned-times.

I would just look for any signs that it has been dropped or lack of maintenance, like a rusty chain. Really not much to go wrong in 11,000 miles. Mine has 76K miles and it runs like it did brand new.

Thanks Mike, haven't heard back from the owner so I'm hoping it hasn't been sold yet, it's candy apple red and has a new tires and looks really clean.
