New Member! Couple Questions.

Whats up everyone. Picked up my 919 about 2 months ago. Its an 02 with 5400 miles. Has a power commander the flapper mod and the baffles removed. Loving it so far! The guy that had it before me put some jank headlights on it and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on a good quality aftermarket headlight that is pretty bright. The one i have now is absolute crap at night and i cant see a thing. And if anyone has any other mods they think will help just let me know. Thanks!

There's a cheap Chinese headlight assembly I bought on ebay for 40 bucks. It's the whole thing, just bolt it on and plug it in. I replaced the bulb for a 100 watt one. It was a dollar. It's not amazing but it's brighter than oem by a bit, looks the same and costs 41 dollars. Can't go wrong

Be warned though, the bulb it came with melted and lit itself on fire inside the headlight and melted the glass lens. I would highly recommend the lightbulb that I got as well so that doesn't happen.

This is the bulb I use. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

G'day and welcome. Good to see an early model. You got the best year, they went downhill after '02. I got a black '02 as well. Lots of maintenance mods and performance mods can be found within this site. Yep search will help and when your stuck someone will give you a half intelligent answer, at some point, maybe? I take it back all years are great. Gotta love a niner!

For about the price of the H4 or other 'regular' bulb setups, you can nearly get an LED or HID setup. There's a couple of write ups on them, IIRC there's a LED truck light on Amazon for < $100 that's unreal.

The other thing seems to be to replace the forks for a more adjustable one. If you have some extra $$ many like to upgrade the rear shock, plenty of threads about that.
