New guy from chicago.

Hello everyone. I'm the proud new owner of a 06 919. I wasn't really looking for one it just kind of landed on my lap, and I'm glad it did. It's freaking awesome, I love how it rides. I went from a 98 katana 600 to a 78 cb400 so when I test rode the 919 I was amazed. Anyway I've already found tons of useful information here, so thank you to everyone.

Welcome to the site! I love how 919s just kind of find themselves new owners.

They're like macaw's or tortoises, they'll all probably outlive their owners, so do we own them or are we mearly their playthings?

Speaking as someone who's got a bit of experience, vintage Hondas (which our 919s are slowly becoming) tend to go through owners and end up appearing in the strangest places. The only other marque that I know of whose vehicles do equally strange things is Jaguar, but for totally different reasons.

You will get bored of a Honda long before you wear it out (and even so it's going to be a very long time), so it ends up going through a series of owners in its lifespan. There's a CB750K4 in Dallas that's still running around after god knows how many owners - I know of at least 5 since 1995 and I'm sure there's way more than that.

Hello from Highland Park!
It seems there are quite a few of us from Chicagoland.

I plan to die young, as late as possible.
