New guy

Good morning all. I just bought an '02 919. It's in good shape with 9k on the ticker. Mostly stock besides a K+N AF, smaller blinkers, and a few other small items. Purchased it mostly for commuting, and the casual Sunday stroll down the lettered highways.

Been riding on the street for about 9 years now...

I'm about 50 miles West of St. Louis, MO located just South of BFE...

Thanks all for the warm welcome.

I'm waiting on Brown Santa to deliver my riding gear before putting rubber to blacktop... and I'm getting antsy.

Looks like the scoot can use a few bits and pieces itself. One bar end is missing, and the 'drivers side' mirror is the only one attached. Chain and sprockets look good, but will be replaced by the next season. The D209s are in great shape. Header has some oxidation, some 000 steel wool should give the pipes a fresh look.

If any 9er riders have tips for a newb to this bike, please feel free to share.

Again - thanks all for the welcome!
