New bike, new forum

Hello Guys. I've been here for the past 3 weeks just soaking in the good info. I just bout 3 weeks ago a 2004 919 uranium green. Picked it up new with 1.2 miles on it. Love the bike. Went from a 1992 kat 750 to the 919, what a change, the kat was a great bike, but the 919 leaves me speachless. I am on to the mods, little list, but keeps growing. I've added the stock centerstand and fly screen. I am thinking twin carbon yoshi's, power commander, pair valve removal, and the flapper mod, fender eleminator, clear turn signals. I am just wondering if the power commander, pair valve removal or flapper mod will void my honda warranty I purchased. Thanks guys looking forward to my stay!

Nice ride...don't see many of the green ones, but I've always liked it. Welcome, you'll love it here.

Welcome Barmatt.
I've got a friend in Hurricane. You might see him from time to time riding around on a Kawasaki Turbo with a funky single sided swingarm.

Ah; one of those rare green kryptonite 919's, very nice. A leftover 04 model is almost unheard of. Did you get a good OTD price?

Hard to say how a individual dealer would react if warranty work was needed. I would hold off on the pair removal. The flapper mod, and the Power Commander can be switched back to stock quite easily.

Welcome Aboard

If the Honda warranty is anything like the Yamaha warranty, it all depends upon your dealer. If you've got a cool dealer that doesn't hassle you, it's all good. Besides, I have my dealer do all the work on my bike. So if they come back with any BS like that, I'll respond by saying "you mean the warranty I bought from you is void because of modifications that you did?you won't cover warranty work for modifications that your service department did?"
