New 919 owner- Los Angeles area

Hi. My name is Christian. I recently purchased an 07' Honda 919. I have fallen in love with it. I want to learn more about it. I also would like to meet people in my area who also own this bike. Maybe we can share tips and go riding sometime.

*p.s. I was riding down the freeway when a tiny pebble hit the gas tank. It made a little dent in the front. When I saw what had happened, I became very sad. The bike is not more than two months old. Does anyone know of someone that knows how to take dents off of bikes??? : (

Welcome to the best source of information, opinions, and plain old B.S. on the 919.

How deep is the dent in the tank, and was there paint damage? There are paintless dent repair businesses that specialize in coming in behind a dent and gently working it out. While I don't know if they will do a gas tank it's worth checking into. If you're interested, go to practically any new car dealership and ask the service manager about it: he/she will probably be able to refer you to someone.

As leatherwings posted, I put on a group ride every other week, and as a matter of fact there is one tomorrow. The meeting place is right at 40 miles from Temple City on the 210 / 134 / 101 freeways. I know this because two of my favorite restaurants are Il Fornaio and the Akbar in old Pasadena (Colorado and fair Oaks), which is about 5 miles from you. You are, of course, cordially invited to attend.

Hope to see you soon, if not tomorrow.

Rob

If it has already been done, it is safe to assume it is possible to do it.
On the other hand, if it has not been done never assume it is impossible to do it.

Hello and enjoy the new ride.

Welcome to the hive.

Might have to try out Akbar, since I'm only a mile away.

Keep in touch, I do the GMR/GRR run frequently. Sometimes after work.

Look out for a Pearl Yellow 919, if you see him get out of the way; he's a nutcase, just stay away from him.
