New 919 Owner - Introducing myself

Just introducing myself. Well, technically I've had it for about two months, but it's my second bike (rode a cruiser for two months before figuring out I wanted something a little sportier), and now I have the 919.

So here I am. Got about 2k on the bike (ride it for commuting and anything I can), and I'm doing the usual saving up/buying accessories. So far I've done Givi crashbars and windscreen, and I'm going to contact spencer for a seat mod and buy some body armor (probably the bionic armor from alpinestars). I have a removable centerstand on order from someone from the website to help with maintenance (new to biking, but I'd like to learn to do basic maintenance on my own) After that comes a Givi V46 topbox, and some other odds and ends.

Been checking out the website and there's a lotta good info here. So I'll be lurking in the shadows until I end up doing something stupid (like when I took off the caps to my forks on the old bike while it just being parked in the lot . . . . and springs and oil shot up out of the bike and all over me and the sidewalk . . . THAT was a fun day trying to put everything back together without a lift or stand of some sort . . . )

I laughed picturing the fork springs shooting out like a snake from a novelty can of nuts. Welcome and enjoy the 9'er.

Hello There.
I remember when i was younger, one of my friends called me to help in the installation of his progressive fork springs, But before i got there he decided to start with out me. Well when i got to his house we had to cut out a section of dry wall in his ceiling to find where the top cap was. Fortunately i was not there when his wife got home...lol. That story had me laughing all over again. Btw i had to go back and help him patch and paint the ceiling 2 days later....somehow i was to blame????

Howdy Alexi. I don't own a 919 but my ZX10R has Hornet stickers on it. Don't believe it?
