New 919 Owner

I am a new 919 owner, but I have been riding for over 30 years.

I had a Yamaha FZ1 before this bike, I kicked around a 06 FZ1, or a 919 Honda. The 06 FZ1 has some issues that a lot of owners are unhappy about, and seem to be not fixable at this time (efi problems, vibrations). When I bought my FZ1 the 919 was one of my choices.

I am a mechanic at the police dept., My wife also has her own bike, we ride about 10K miles per year.

Welcome aboard. So, do you bribe your way out of tickets by threatening shoddy mechanic work. That would be sweet.

I'm also a new 919 owner and member of the forum. Great place they have here! I've learned a lot.

I also rode an FZ1 ('02) but came to the 919 from an ST13. I'm in love with the lower weight, COG, and great agility. Congrats on the new ride!

What kind of bikes do they ride at your department?

Welcome. I don't have any previous rides to share. I have been looking at getting a bike since I was 16. When I saw the 05' 919, it was like that heavenly light was shining down on it. Then I realized it was a small spotlight in the dealership. I love the bike, just wished I didn't lay it down.

You are on the other side of Columbus from me and Angela but we hit the Columbus area now and then.

Enjoy the 9er and if you come to Mid-Ohio let us know.
