Cool New 919 guy in town!

Good morning all!

The name is Mike...I'm just another noob to the site, so I thought I'd say hi! I hail from the Philly area in PA with a 2003 Matte Black Honda 919. I've only had it for 2 months now, but have been riding for about a year at age 25. So, naturally, I'm still learning and gaining experience, but damn do I love riding.

I was inspired to get a bike by my dad who has been riding Touring bikes for years, so I wanted to get into riding so that I could spend time riding with my dad. Naturally, it turned into the need for better gas mileage, considering my car burns up a ton of gas...

I ride for the sheer fact that its fun. I don't need to go super fast (even though these 919s are very capable, haha). I have my car to do that (Subaru WRX STI with 310awhp)...but since I got this bike, its been nothing but love.

I stumbled upon this site by searching Google for some exhaust options yesterday...and low and behold, I just started reading and reading here. Before I knew it, I was a member and had nearly doubled my knowledge of my bike!

So far it seems like an awesome community...so I look forward to the future and getting to know some people as well as getting to know tons more about my bike! Have a good one guys and gals!

Thanks Mike...I did notice that as well, good name and good bike

That is where I spent most of my time yesterday reading up...a ton of great reads and DIYs and How-To's...that will help me a lot in the future

Brev...yeah I'm pretty familiar with that area. I am originally from the South Jersey area, but have been working in Philly for 10 years, so I know anywhere around Philly very well. What did you do in Pennsauken?

The company I work for has a plant in Pennsauken. I go up there occasionally and keep 'em in line. lol Also have a buddy and his wife (he works for the same company) that live a few blocks from the art museum.

Of course I'm on there It is a great forum... I'm also a part of ClubWRX.net and sadly enough, NASIOC, haha...but I'm actually pretty involved with the local STI scene. I absolutely love my car. I have a 2007 Limited

Did you have any work done on yours?

Thanks buddy! I honestly haven't seen one in the last year, haha. I have only been living in Philly since February though...I've been working in Philly for over 10 years, so I can say I've been a brother (or cousin, haha) for longer

And thanks to everyone else for all the welcomes!

Welcome Mike!
We don't have a WRX, but I bought my wife a new Outback in '05 with the flat six. That thing hauls for a wagon!
My other ride is an '00 GMC Z71 W/5.3L V8. It stays mostly parked in the summer when I can ride. But it can boogie and break the tires loose at will.

I plan to die young, as late as possible.
