New 2007 919 owner

Hello,
My name is Gary. I am just outside Chicago. I just purchased a new 2007 919 (CB900F).
I used to have a 1982 Nighthawk 750 (CB750SC). Traded that in in 1998 on a 1998 Triumph Trident 900. I loved it but alas it fell prey to the road idiots and on August 10th was totalled due to inattentive driver on the cell phone. I broke my shoulder but am healing OK. That did not stop me from going out a week later and getting the 919. It's really different and I'm getting used to it but I like it a lot.
Don't know how much I'll be posting. I like to use these forums for information mostly. Hopefully I can contribute more as I learn about this bike from you all. Just wanted to introduce myself for now.
LATER!

Sorry to hear about the loss of your previous bike, and the broken shoulder, but methinks you'll be happy with your new ride. Welcome.

Take a little time and look over the Helpful Topics for new 919 owners. The Heads Up links are especially important.

Glad to hear you are on the mends.

In time you will see our community is more than just bikes (919). Feel free to join in the fun.

Welcome aboard Gary

What is going on Gary? Welcome. I was born and raised in Chicagoland. Lived in Lockport. Hope you heal up soon, and great choice on the bike.

Hey Gary! You'll love the 919 I'm sure and soon begin spending all your disposable income on it, just like the rest of us.

So what, no one's going to call him Fred?

I see no problem with a baskin robbins painted motorbike. Especially if you are a clown.
