JUST GOT A 919!!!

Hi my name is James and I live in upstate NY. I just recently sold my 83 nighthawk 750 and bought a 919 for a very good price and it already had a two brothers racing pipe on it. I love the bike. can someone tell me what a good long lasting tire to put on it?? also want a rear fender eliminator kit too which one is good. I also hate the front blinkers. do they make an eliminator kit for that or a relocating kit or something other than those horrible stock ones..

Welcome James. Great choice in bikes! If you do a search, you will find lots of good tire recommendations. Same with fender eliminators. I have a competition werks, but havent installed it yet.

Enjoy!

Hello all, Also congrats on your 919, I just purchase mine two weeks ago, a left over 2007. Had a small problem after i picked it up. I guess the dealer didn't go over it very well. The voltage regulator was disconnected. Fix now and I love the Bike.

Welcome. Congrats on the 919 purchase. I did the same thing you did right before Christmas last year. I traded my 96 nighthawk 750 in for an '06 919. It was brand new with only 3 miles on the Odometer! I still only have 1500 on it and use it for commute here in California. Man I love my 919.

Interestingly enough, I plan on moving to Vermont at the end of August. Maybe we can take a ride through those Adirondacks before the snow comes!

Congrats again!

I might as well join the club too. I didn't actually own the Nighthawk personally, but I sure as hell helped dad keep the engine warm on his 1999 750 after I sold my Rebel and until I could afford to get my 919. Also, my little brother (05superblackz) went from a Nighthawk 250 to his 919 with the 750 filling the gap between bikes. Must be a popular transition.
Our Nighthawk left us last week since no one needed a spare bike anymore with both of us getting 919's and dad swapping to the ST1300. We sure loved that bike though...
