Intro

Heya fellow members of the fraternal order of motorcyclists. Quick intro here, I was invited here from another forum by jetblast10 (assuming the name's the same here, I logged in as SSBBC at said other forum).

Anyways I have a garage full of 'em, guilty as charged. Been riding since 1997, still got that first bike. Quit drinking a year later and used all the extra cash to buy more, quickly discovered that no vice is cheap. Just traded the buzz for a roar. Check them out at http://shadow-shack.20m.com, it's pop-up central there so enable your blocker software. Sorry, spend too much on modding bikes to afford a fancy site so I'm stuck with the free "ad supported" servers LOL

Anyways, as you can tell by the site I'm into chopping them. Which isn't to say I dislike the other styles...I secretly yearn for a dual sport (300-400cc range) and/or a sport standard (SV-650 or 750 Nighthawk) but I might be tempted to rake and extend them too...sacrilege?

The past few years I became an advocate for MC safety, helping to co-host the former BeginnerBikes.com site and an active member at the two offshoot sites (beginnerandbeyond.com and beginnerbikers.org). After experiencing a fair variety of machines (besides my own I had a 1500 Vulcan and rode freinds' sportbikes such as a CBR1000 Hurricane, ZX-6R, Buell Thunderbolt) along with a host of others such as Magnas and Harleys, so I firmly believe through experience that a new rider should start out with the right bike.

Welcome
Actually, I think JB capped the 919 owner sign-ups. No more 919 owners are allowed to join unless they lie about what bike they own.

I suppose I could always chop a 919. and then lie about it.

Sounds like I'm not the only Star Wars nut here, obviously I'm in good company.

welcome and I think I remember you from the beginningbiker websites. That was my first bike site that I ever joined and learned so much from all the veterans there.

Riding is not what I do....it's who I am!

Howdy Shadow.

Tell me......where in Southern Nevada can I go and pick up some fireworks for the 4th of July????????????????????? If there are a couple of places, which is the best in your opinion. We have a block party on our culdesac and I need to show everyone a good time(at the risk of being popped by Johnny Law)

I am serious about heading out to the Las Vegas area on a speed run to hit an Indian Reservation and help their bottom line by about 500 or a 1000 bucks.
I may not be employed, but I got a bit of black funding left over from the war years.

Anyone in the Vegas/ Mesquite/ Pahrump area that can shed light on Indian Firecracker Outlets (I.F.O.)????????????????????????

Wow, sorry about the thread robbery ShadoShack. Let me just say hi again...........HI!

Sorry for the delay...

Moapa Tribal Enterprises usually sells the big stuff, heading out of town on I-15 north going towards Mesquite. You'll see the signs after a while.

I occassionally make a road trip out of it and head towards New Mexico instead LOL

U B da Man! Thanks for the info. Anything else in case I get lost?

Have we got any So Cal folks that want to take a speed run with me out to Vegas? See some strippers, drop a buck or two into the slots, get some fireworks??????? You can get as many drinks as you want as long as you don't puke in my truck and I'll always be the designated driver. Just help a bit with the fookin gas.

Keep an eye peeled for the "Valley of Fire" signs, that'll let you know you're getting close. In fact I believe it's the VOF exit that takes you there...stopped paying attention to signs long ago LOL

If you need a map check out one of the various map sites and enter Valley of Fire for actual directions.
