Anytime the word relationship comes up with me and a woman I can't help but say "Look. See those bikes? See those dogs? See those guns? Those were here before you, and will be here when you are gone. Keep that in mind if you think an ultimatum is going to change that, years down the road."

I got a 919! I'll take it. He can keep his wife! My other bike is a 1980 CB750 that I blew out to 810cc, added cams and an oil system from a 900 and then took that old girl 6000 miles from Wichita to Portland to LA to Taos and then home.

This bike is QUITE a bit different.

I mean no carbs... what am I gonna do?

Modify the hell out of it and spend twice as much as you paid for the bike to customize it to your tastes...

The first thing I'm getting is mirrors I can actually see out of. Those dumb square ones give me nothing but shoulder.

Other than that... I'll wait and see what needs to be done.

Welcome! I think that bike has popped up on the 'Craigslist finds of the day' a time or two, and now it has a proper home with a WT member! Congrats!

EDIT: Just saw the center-stand. Very nice!! After being spoiled with one and properly learning how to use it, they're quite handy!

I don't know how someone could travel with out one. They make every manner of repair or maintenance possible. I've pulled the engine on my old CB with the bike on the centerstand. When I saw this 9er had one I was sold.

I had those same mirrors, they stunk. I put the stocks back on and they work fine.

Yup, found one mirror on ebay and one I bought new... That was before I joined. I bet there was a pair around here some one would let go of.. ahhh well

My first purchase for this bike was the Honda Service Manual.
First mod: Back to stock mirrors. That's so me.
Second mod: Blaster-X integrated LED tail/turn signal.(Oooh who used the search function? This guy!)

Someone took off the rear turn signals and ran the wires to the stock tail light. you can barely tell that the turn signal is working. Also the rear break switch is not getting triggered or not working. So I've got some things to sort out.

Here we go... baby steps.
