Hornet from SoCal

Hello all,

I've been lurking just a twitch over the last few years and was an active member for a while at honda599.com until the last couple. Looking to branch out and considering a new ride of late. Contemplating and researching (demo rides seem in short supply!). My first ride was a Honda Reflex, followed shortly by a Buell Blast until I discovered that the freeway required a bit more for comfort, bringing me to my current ride of four years, brought back from poor previous owners and gacked out in the learning process.

I give you, Allegro con Fuoco, parked at work.

Hello and welcome to the forum! Great looking ride; never seen a 599 with a full luggage setup. Interesting place for a horn, you got em on both sides?

Smile Hello back!

Thanks, all! Seems like there might be more Hornet owners here than the forum dedicated to it, I see!

Yes, there is one horn on each side. I call em my little UFOs (versus the big one on top). They are dual tone Hellas. Super loud to get Cagers' attention when needed. I suppose I might have left it stock had the previous owners not already gack it up with cheap crap accessories, but they had and they had to go. So now my baby's a testament to my own sense of add-on style.

Yep, it's my own mini ST. Very useful, it turns out for a bit of low end touring and what not. Don't think I could go back to the full naked look any more, though I still live the look more than fairings.

Thanks for the welcome!
