Hi, I'm new.

New to the forum and new to my 919, not to mention new to riding (I did the msf course, going to do it again in a couple of weeks as a refresher.).

I'm from Ohio, about smack in the middle of Lima and Findlay, about 60 miles from Toledo.

I have been bike shopping for several months and when I saw and sat on a 919, and then did some research I pulled the trigger on a 2007 hold over, and got a very nice deal from Championship Powersports in Wauseon, OH. Of all the dealers I talked to they turned out to be the cheapest and most friendly, I can't recommend the highly enough.

I'm happy with the brakes stopping power, however the lever is certainly squishy, so I'm going to install SS lines. Add a headlamp modulator and brake flasher, and then a bit of luggage. Other than that, and maybe pointing the headlight up a little, I'm not planning on making many changes for now.

I'm looking forward to participating

Welcome.

There's a nice raffle that includes SS lines, a line holder and some calipers. I don't think it's over yet. Still time to get in.

Never heard a 919 brake called squishy ,get that looked at.

They may not be onpar with a full on sportbike set up ,but def not squishy.

Thank you for the welcome

The brake lever will pull all the way back to the grip, though I never need to pull it near that far to stop. I have wondered about whether they need bleeding.

I'd say you need to bleed that brake.

Welcome Hackz! Try a bleeding of the front brakes before you commit to the SS lines. There is really no reason not to upgrade to the SS lines but the factory setup is pretty darn good. Enjoy the new ride.
