Hi All, New Here

From southern New Jersey. Been playing with Kwak factory turbo's for a while. I have three, one of which was my first street bike 15 yrs ago and will have a go at Maxton next Spring. Another one has been fitted with '04 zx636 suspension and is almost finished. I'll put a pic in the "classics" section. But just picked up a '05 919 and can't believe how light it feels compared to those antiques I've been riding!

Get the Hell outta here! My inlaws live only 5 minutes from Blakeslee. I myself live only 20 minutes from there, heading back up anytime soon? (Spring or later...too cold for me to ride right now)

As for the nice twisties, they only last one year then the frost heaves attack and the potholes arrive. After that you have to wait until Spring to find new recently paved twisties.

m51142 - nice group of bikes. i remember the Hawk when it first came out
('88 ish?) I wanted one. Like the old BSA - i put a pic of mine in the classics section.

dadogs - yeah, i'd like to come up your way again. maybe we could get some other northeasterners together for a group ride next season? when i was there in July, we rode up to a little town in NY that had just been washed out
by all the rains. There was a car stuck in the riverbed! The place we were supposed to have lunch was closed but
we found a dive bar & a pizza place open & had to split into two groups. The road back was great with long fast sweepers at first then smaller roads with tighter twisties. It was a good time.

gpz- Thanks for the kind words. You're right, first year for the Hawk-GT was '88. Since you mentioned a group ride next season check out this thread. https://www.wristtwisters.com/forum/s...ead.php?t=1422 I plan on having another blowout next summer.

I'm guessing some where around 30 people. You could meet up with ratdog. He is from NJ and knows the way here. Just make sure he does not get side tracked in Manhattan at one of those geah pride parades.
