Hi all another 9er

Hello, I got my 07 919 3 weeks ago and put 1000 miles on it Fun bike thats for sure!!! I layed her down the second day i got it... It was raining i was getting on the hwy and as soon as i straitened it out the back tire slid out and she went down. So i got most of it fixed except the tank and rear cowl i put stickers all over my tank to cover the dent lol it works and im kind of starting to like it.

Whoa...welcome and take 'er easy on that bike now, ya hear?

The 919 is deceptively torquey and it's easy to spin the rear in bad weather even at lower speeds/rpms.

yea I think im going to need at least a new back tire. I let some pressure out and was running 36 for my trip to spokane and back last weekend and it kinda flat spotted the center or it seamed to at least. Im heading back to spokane today I think I will fill it up to 42 again. I still got 47mpg with the tire low on shell premo.

Barton, not all bikes were delivered with Bridgestones, MOST are Michelins

BUT....

Jayblu....ALL are less than optimal on wet....
You need new, Metzelers or maybe Bridgestones....NOT OEM replacements....new models.

WELCOME !

Let's stop doin the wet horizontal bodywork modification stunt OK ?

Take care....

the 919 came predominantly with the bridgestone bt56's....

a FEW came with the hi-points....

and i know this from working a couple of years in a both a honda store (the largest in the usa) and at a multi-line shop here...... all i ever saw came with the bt56's which are left over crap...

if you like them great....... but if the rider is semi aggressive and will be leaning over and dragging pegs .. PUT GOOD TIRES ON...

Since you already bought the greatest bike ever, you should put great tires on it... it only gets better! I replaced my Hi-Sports (not points... i think) with Pilot Power 2ct's and friggin love em! Welcome to the Hive!!!
