Welcome racerfan. We hate people from San Diego, just in the winter though.

+1 on pics! Please don't haunt us with ride reports in January, we have a resident SoCal troll already... one too many.

Other than that, welcome!

Well hmmm....let's see, there's a ton of bikes on the road and here at the mill in the summer, winter here brings on a motorcycle exodus, there only me and one other guy here that carry the torch through the rough months, he rides some sort of big Honda(not a goldwing)

There are some who park their bikes when it's below 70deg.....sissys!!!

Totally agree. Anything above 40deg or so is game for me.

Scorpion hat trick jacket, scorpion pants and a pair of joe rocket gloves. I can't remember what kind of gloves they are, but are almost like snow mobile gloves. I never used any heated gear but now have Oxford heated grips. When it's that cold the trips aren't long.

I don't like cold weather riding any more. When I was 14, I delivered newspapers on my CL100 Honda year round. Thought I was going to turn into a popsicle in the winter.

Watch that wind chill. It get cold in a hurry at speed.

I've ridden all year round here in LA, but weather can be fickle here on the 1 by the ocean during the winter. One day last winter it was gorgeous and sunny during the day, must have been like 65ish, i was wearing my alpinestars leather jacket, tshirt, boots and jeans, went out to a clients house to work, left at 10 pm, it was 45, plus the windchill, i was shivering in 5 minutes, 30 mins later got home and in 2 hours i had a 103 fever, was sick for a week.

It all depends on what kind of gear you have. I know when I first started riding, when I as about 14, I road all through the winter. It's not horrible here in Georgia, but there were a few times I had icicles hanging from my ski mask.
