Hey, y'all! New cat from GA

I bought my '02 919 from a local guy who was actually trying to sell it on this forum. It's a nice addition to the garage. A little tuning, elbow grease and love- we're in business! I know that this bike was not designed to be flogged around a track, but that(along with regular duty) is what I plan to do with it. Planning on valving a pair of F4 forks and installing either a Penske or Ohlins shock. 520 conversion/gearing change and some map swapping and she should be ready... Happy to be here!

You'd be surprised, the 919 is perfectly capable of being on the track. Those upgrades will do you very nicely as well! Hit up LDH for some good deals on the Ohlins and 520 conversions.

You are right in that it IS perfectly capable. I'm a former WERA roadracer, and this bike came at the right time and price to scratch the itch... Jennings is a short jaunt and the perfect track for it. I no longer have the desire for an all out race bike. I currently race offroad and vintage MX. It's time to dust off the leathers.....

A stocker will hustle around pretty well.
A redone front and aftermarket shock will transform the bike.
Adjustable rear shock length is very useful on a 919.
919s are very happy on the track.
