"Hey what's up, new to this site."

Love this site. Anybody know about Honda Hurricane's? Are they good beginner bikes. I'm from San Diego, wondering are they any clubs that have "Hurricane's"? Let me know. Thanks.

Lots of people around here have experience with hurricanes in one form or another.

Firstly - welcome , alot of good stuff and folks around here !

Secondly - ahh, the good ole Hurricane ! What a great bike , from what I rember they are a good reiable early sport bike .If you get one, just make sure you have someone who knows bikes pretty well to check it over, seems like they might have the cursed Honda regulator/recitifer issue, but, Im sure by now it should have been upgraded with a newer one.- Im not sure as a beginer bike though. Yeah, shes donw on Hp whne compared to the new stuff, but, they are still very fast bikes.I would strongly reccomend going to a MSF/Riders Edge course ( the riders edge course is the MSF but , its put on by a HD dealership , same stuff, just leaning a bit more towrds HD ) . The course teaches you the right way to do stuff before you learn the bad habbits that we all get from learning form who ever tought us how to ride -Plus yo uget a break on your insurance in alot of places. And make sure you get the best gear you can get ! Dont skimp on your gear to get a new exhaust !
Other than that , what ever you get , enjoy your ride !

Hurricane Bertha is churning off our coast right now. But, looks like she's heading north and away from landfall.

Welcome to the fray, we are a neighborly bunch here.

Smile New to Forum

Aloha from Hawaii. Happened onto this site when checking out Map Quest and Garmin GPS interface. I ride 2002 Honda Goldwing, illusion blue. Am shipping it to mainland next week and will tour across country for 2 months, including stops and visits in Orcas Island, WA; Americade at Lake George,NY; New Hampshire and other parts of New England; Honda Wing Ding in Ft Wayne, IN; Jefferson City, Mo and wherever else time and chance take me. Did similar run 2 years ago partly with friend and partly on own. Some rides with friends, some solo.

Hope to get time to check out other peoples ride descriptions here for some ideas what to try if I get in the right vicinity on tour.

I also ride my Bacchetta Corsa 24 recumbent bicycle around town for a little more exercise than I get on Wing.
