Hello from Wichita, KS

Hey Guys, Just purchased this baby this month. My first bike after taking the MSF course. I have so much fun riding it, it made me sad when I left the lights on and couldn't ride to work today, dead battery

Glad to Join other fellow hornets out there.

Ride On!

Congratulations, and be forewarned - the fuel injection is not new rider friendly. If it does not have a PCIII, get one installed, it honestly helps.

I've seen seasoned riders wreck because of the throttle response - It's not about the power, it just is immediate.

The 599 might of been a better selection for a first motorcycle, but screw that, you've got it, it's a heck of a motorcycle, you'll love it.

Don't let "the class" make you overconfident, be very easy with the throttle, especially when new tires on on, and have fun, smile a lot, and ride ride ride.

Congrats on the new bike. I did the same thing....took the MSF and bought a 919. Use the key to turn off the bike instead of the kill switch and you won't have the dead battery because you left the lights on anymore. Enjoy!
