Hello from Vermont

Hi,I just picked up an 07 with 3,000 miles the bike looks like it has 0 miles !!
Except for the rear tire all stock for now.

I haven't been on an I4 since my 73 Kawasaki 900.

I've been on VTwins for many years.I ride Aprilia's lately a Falco and Futura and a German bike MZ.I will be at the DMV in the morning and riding all day.

This should be fun !

Hey there Iceman....Did you buy the bike off Craigslist recently??? I live right here in Chittenden County and just bought an '06 919 last month. I saw an '07 919 with 3k miles for a decent price last week. I'll be looking for your bike on the road...happy trails!

Ya,that's the bike, the owner was trying to sell it for a while. He is a real nice guy.
He bought the bike from his friend with 1,400 miles and he put on 1,600 last summer and has his own business as a glass blower and has some real impressive equipment in his garage. But as you can expect not many people buying beautiful hand blown glass at the moment. He sells on Church Street at Frog Hollow which only allows Vermont artist to sell.A few years back I tried to get a friend from Boston into that store and they loved his art but no go as he is not from here. I went to the DMV and I'M all set if the sun shines
on Sunday.

Grnmnt919 , my bike came from Land Air I live one mile from Sunset Drive in <4 screen> I was going to take my nephew tonight,at 12 y/o he has never been to a drive in theater but with the rain I think maybe tomorrow.
I'm going to ride it a little <couple hundred miles> and get some synth.oil into the bike. Here are some pictures of my other rides.
.
Aprillia Falco that I will have forever,I use to be a cruiser guy,Harley/VTX big heavy bikes and i saw the light and like liter bikes now ! Lighter, faster and to me WAY more fun !!

This is a fun bike that I use out in the National Forest near Bristol VT.

Iceman,
I live approx 1/2mile from Sunset, and I bought my 919 at Land Air 4-5 weeks ago. I swore that I saw another 919 in the neighborhood last weekend, but thought I was dreamin'! Excellent! Probably see you in town this summer!

Thanks Mike,I like it a lot !
As you can tell I like different types of bikes and for the last 5 years I have really liked the high revving VTwins but this new inline four seems to want to rev pretty high from the very short 1/4 mile I was on it.
I will Know
better tomorrow or Sunday at the latest. PS the DMV for whatever reason the last year or longer real quick in/out,I asked for a number. The woman said fill it out and you go right to the counter and sure enough...Scary a little

The Futura looks better without the bags

Thanks Mike, within a little over a year I had 10,000 on the Futura.
The winter of 07 was really warm and rode up until January.

I was looking at B-kings as they are cheap now.No longer made, like the 919. After you decide you like the looks of the B-king<takes a while> I just decided I would be back on a heavy bike that could kill me !!! Then I saw the the 919 was a little worried it would be small for me but after checking it out I think it will be a fun summer.

Ice,
I bought an '06 919 with 6400 miles, Leo Vince exhaust and Honda windscreen. Love at first sight. I had to buy it on the spot. I've put over 500 miles on it this spring, Jay Peak, Isle La Motte (Grand Isle), Bristol, and of course just tooling around Burlington. Must have missed the '07 919 that you bought, or it was posted just after I purchased mine. I hope the roads clean up soon, I've got Smugg's on my 'to do' list as well as Lincoln Gap, etc.
Hope you had a good weekend riding (albeit wet). I'm in the office all weekend. Ha!

I think he means RT 17 Appalachian gap, from the Bristol side RT 116 up Rt 17 past Mad River Ski Area and into Waitsfield or the reverse. That's a great road. Kind of a mini Dragon.
I have been over the Lincoln gap many times on my dual sport MZ It wouldn't be fun on the 919.

No riding for me as it sucks out,if I get caught out in the rain no big deal but to go out in the rain..Why

I don't mind the cold though, here I am at the top of the Appalachian gap in January I think
